What is a Flea Market?

A Flea Market is an indoor or outdoor selling bazaar which rents out spaces to trade or private sellers wishing to sell a range of goods.  They are popular in Australia, where they are called, “trash and treasure markets,” and throughout mainland Europe. The concept is thousands of years old dating back to Asian countries and proves popular today all over the world.

Families might come along to sell items from their homes or trade sellers and buyers will be looking to trade collectables, antiques or specific 2nd hand items. It is also a low cost way for arts and crafts sellers to offer their hand made items for sale & many demonstrate their art on the day too!

Selling of used goods & high quality items at reasonable prices are commonplace and some markets sell farm produce, plants and foodstuffs.  Markets take place annually, monthly, daily – or in the case of Loch Lomond Flea Market, weekly. We allow the sale of all quality 2nd hand goods, antique, vintage and crafts. We have a passionate belief in recycling and upcycling – selling and buying at flea markets is cost-effective, environmentally friendly and fun! You will always be able to find something useful or unique and will get chatting to many interesting people along the way.

We also operate an eco-friendly property clearance service. Go to our contact page to send an enquiry or phone us on 07771 501560 to make an appointment. Quotations are free and in person.
